What is residential property market going to look like in the "new normal" world when the lockdown is eased?
At Blair Cadell we have adapted to ensure the health and safety of our staff and clients, whilst continuing to provide our estate agency, conveyancing and personal legal services through innovative means – meeting challenges, working effectively from home wherever possible, and coordinating actions within the relevant guidelines.
Buyer activity in the market has far from evaporated. Enquiries about listed properties, virtual viewings, and advice on selling property in Edinburgh and The Lothians including desk top valuations and video tours have continued unabated. Many negotiations have still been successfully progressed.
Transactions have successfully completed where circumstances have permitted – such as in cases of essential need, or where no physical house move is required (such as investment properties), or re-mortgages – with the cooperation of relevant parties including conveyancers, mortgage lenders, and the Scottish Land Register.
Looking forward to the easing of the lockdown conditions our focus will be on serving everyone whose property plans have been on hold: downsizers, upsizers, relocators, first time buyers, whatever the need.
We will continue to advise on the ongoing adaptions that will be required in relation to the whole chain from surveyors and photographers to conveyancers and removers, with everything in between, to ensure minimum risk in relation to the health concerns brought about by the pandemic, and the maximum benefit to you and your property.
Our expert team is here to assist with your sale or purchase in the evolving post lockdown property market.
