2016 - a year of surprises

At Blair Cadell, as we busy ourselves with our clients’ pre-Christmas must-do’s and our plans for the delivery of our quality and value services for the new year ahead, we’ve been reflecting on 2016 as a year of significant events, surprises and step-change in the world at large; of which it can be said that one thing appears certain: that nothing appears certain.

Doubt And Certainty

For our part, our resolve is to help our clients through 2017, and to reduce those uncertainties wherever we can.

  • Certainties of advice
  • Certainties of outcome
  • Certainties of costs

Here are just two examples:

The New Year in Edinburgh and surrounding areas will continue to see the distinct shortage of supply and strong competition for first time buy properties, buy-to-lets and good-sized family homes alike, with plenty of disappointed and frustrated offerors.  With this degree of pent-up demand this could be an ideal time to dive in to the market with a strong sell-first strategy.  Blair Cadell’s accessible, efficient and cost effective advice will work for you.  Look out for our regular market reviews.

Through Blair Cadell’s association with the Solicitors for Older Persons (SOPS) initiative we will be adding extra weight to the importance for clients of making proper provision for the conduct of their affairs in the event of incapacity or illness, and in the future according to their wishes.  Our Powers of Attorney and Wills services are designed to minimise risk and uncertainty, delivered by a skilled Personal Legal team at affordable cost.
